HARVEY
Scott Harvey, born in Maitland in December 1966, is the only son of Doug and Joan Harvey. He began his trucking career in his late teens, eventually driving a milk tanker. Scott loved the job, the roads he travelled, and the farmers he dealt with. When someone suggested he should run his own business, Scott and his wife
Regina decided to give it a go. In October 1996, they were awarded their first contract.
With a new contract in hand, Scott needed a truck. After
visiting many dealers, he chose Volvo. The Volvo salesman
welcomed Scott, his daughter Blair, and their Rottweiler into his office and explained how Volvo could meet their needs. This
personal touch convinced Scott to go with Volvo.
Since October 1996, SRH Milk Haulage has grown into a large
company. Despite the growth, Scott remains deeply involved in
every decision. Over the years, the company has purchased over 300 prime movers and multiple tankers. Scott also helped design the first front-mounted pump and different concept PBS milk
tankers.
Scott’s dedication has earned him several personal and business awards, including the Volvo Fuel Driving Challenge and the John Kelly TruckSafe award. Known for his “Yes, that can be done”
attitude, Scott finds ways to improve and innovate. His
commitment is evident in the high-quality equipment he runs and his willingness to jump into any truck and do a run if needed.
Scott’s family has always been an essential part of his journey. Alongside his wife Regina, he has three children: daughters Blair and Ashlee, and son Mitchell. They have all been supportive and involved in various aspects of the business, making SRH Milk
Haulage a true family affair.
Scott Harvey’s journey from a teenage truck driver to a successful business owner is marked by hard work, dedication, and a passion for excellence. His ability to balance growth with hands-on
involvement has made SRH Milk Haulage a leader in the industry. The support and involvement of his family, particularly his wife
Regina, daughters Blair and Ashlee, and son Mitchell, have been crucial to the company’s success.
