Terence Pluckhahn

TERENCE FRANCIS PLUCKHAHN (PLUCKA OR TERRY) was born October 1945 in Portland Victoria to a trucking family. Terrys uncle was H>C Pluckhahn and others included Perc Merrett along with cousins Colin. Ray ,and Barry Merrett. Terry first started driving long distance in Portland with M.G Stockberry running Portland - Melbourne in a Commer truck hauling diverse loads fish, bricks, tiles and general freight.

Terry then drove an R190 International for Western Murray Fruit supply, followed by a stint with N.F McDonnell at Mt G ambier SA hauling timber and general freight. Other trucks Terry drove included an International 180 nand a 1973 Atkinson with a 180 Garner motor. In 1976 Terry went to work at Comet Express in Footsgray. Two years later he was working aT Wards Overnighters on line haul.

Terry and his wife Pat then moved to Brisbane and Terry drove a Scania for Rainbow Furniture Transport for awhile before going back to Overnighters in Brisbane. In 1984 Terry and pat moved to Victoria where terry drove for Bunkers transport at Footsgray for the next 15 months. Following this terry went to Scotts of Mt gambier where he drove the shuttle between Brisbane and Sydney for K and S Freighters.

In 2001 the couple moved to the United States of America to live in Springdale, Arkansas and worked for Cannon xpress. In 2002 Pat became ill and they moved back to Australia. Sadly Pat passed away in 2003. terry worked around Adelaide driving a B double propane tanker for a while but in early 2004 he decided to return to America. terry worked for Delp Transpotation in Springdale, Arkansas until they went out of business in 2012. In 2016 Terry drives for Doorman Delps son Eric out of Fayetteville Arizona. he has driven reeferd since being in America and drives through or to most states. Terry gained American citizenship in June 2015 and says he enjoys living and driving in the states.

Terry Pluckhahn has covered a lot of miles and driven a lot of trucks in his time including Internationals, Atkinsons, Mercedes, Scanias, Volvos., Kenworths, Peterbilt and freightliners.
