Max (Sandy) Ellis

Max (Sandy) Ellis came into this world in 1937. It did not take long for him to make his mark, finishing 2nd in a baby beauty contest.

He started driving in 1959 for Telford and Hood and hung up his logbook in2003 whilst with K & S.

Since retirement you can find Sandy in front of the bar of the Commercial Hotel in Mt Gambier. If he’s not there, he’s at South Gambier Football Club following his beloved Demons or driving us burnt out truck drivers to various appointments around Victoria and South Australia at no cost.

A true gentleman on and off the road, to all the community.
