History of this Vehicle:

The K Series Bedford was initially a pre-WWII model released in 1939. With the onset of war, the model, along with the M and O Series, was hastily redesigned for military use. Most were sent to the Soviet Union but many were dispatched to Allied Forces all over the world. After the war ended the British Empire stalled to catch its breath and Bedford did not release its next model, the S Series, until 1950. In the meantime, the pre-war K Series continued to be produced until 1953 and remained a popular choice.

Bedford was a subsidiary of Vauxhall Motors, itself the British subsidiary of General Motors (GM), established in 1930. Bedford was a leading international truck manufacturer exporting light, medium and heavy trucks all over the world. Bedford was General Motors most profitable venture for many years.
