On behalf of the Board of Management of the Road Transport Historical Society Inc., I have pleasure in inviting you to nominate person(s) worthy of inclusion in our Wall of Fame. It doesn't matter whether they are male or female, what sector of industry they work (or worked) in, what part of the country they come from or whether their contribution was significant on a local, national or international level, if we don't recognise them no-one else will. The road transport industry is, sadly, much neglected and misrepresented by mainstream historians. The Wall of Fame is unveiled each year the last full weekend in August as part of our annual road transport ReUnion, now a major event on Australia's trucking calender. It really is an amazing event and every year I am moved by the calibre of the inductees from both the trucking and coach industries. I have no hesitation in saying it is the biggest and the best road transport reunion held in this country thanks to our sponsors Shell, Kenworth, Cummins, National Transport Insurance, CAT just to name a few. We have a fabulous industry and a mateship that's rarely seen in any other industry. Come along and help us celebrate the trials and tribulations of our transport pioneers as they are inducted into the Wall of Fame and admire our museums full of yesterdays workhorses and a huge memorabilia and photographic collection. Its four full days of fun and activities for all the family.
