History of this Vehicle:

This car was used as a hire car in the early 1930’s. The 1928 Packard 526 Sedan weighed two tonnes and consumed fuel at a rate of 14 miles per gallon (22.5 kilometres per 3.8 litres). The 526 Sedan came fully imported from the USA at $2280 U.S. It is powered by a six-cylinder engine with a bore and stroke of 3.5” x 5”. The wheel-base is 126 inches (320 cm).

Packard was the number-one exporter of cars in its price class during the 1920s. In 1931, 10 Packards were owned by Japan’s royal family, and the company’s reputation as a manufacturer of excellence was indisputable. In 1921, a Packard, was the first car to drive a U.S. President to his inauguration.
