History of this Vehicle:

This 1926 Ford Model T Roadster was entirely assembled in the Ford Factory in Geelong, Victoria.

The 1926 Roadster was powered by a four-cylinder, side valve engine with 176.7 cubic inch displacement (449 cc). It was rated at 20 horsepower and produced a top speed of 45 miles per hour (72.5 km/hr). The wheel-base is 100 inches (254 cm). At the time the factory price was £180 or $320 AUD.

It’s interesting to note that some Model T cars were known as ‘Wool Shed’ models. This came about because in 1923 two Canadian executives, Hubert French and Mel Brooks were sent to Australia to oversee the setting up of the distribution of Fords in Australia. After considering Tasmania, they decided that Geelong was a better option. As they did not have a factory, Model Ts began emerging from a disused wool shed from July 1925.
