History of this Vehicle:

Ford had been a leader in car sales however by the 1920’s the Model T was beginning to fall behind competitors in sales. So, Henry Ford, along with his son Edsel and Ford Motor Company engineers, designed and developed ‘The New Car’, The Model A Ford.

On the 15th of May 1928 the Model A range, including the Phaeton, Roadster, Tudor Sedan, Business Coupe and the AA truck went on display in all the capital cities of Australia. More than 300,000 Australians visited the displays over the first four days. That was 1 in 20 Australians.

The Roadster was the single most popular model of the five drop-top models made by Ford. The Roadster models were available for all four years that the Model A’s were being built. They had the low starting price of the equivalent of $400 which is comparable to $16,800 in 2020
